In the American League, the Houston Astros continue to establish themselves as one of
the best baseball Dynasties. It's their 4th World Series appearance in six years, and they've through
the opposition during the playoffs, taking down both the Seattle Mariners and New York
Yankees with a vengeance. Jeremy Pena and Chas McCormick were both hot during
the AL Championship Series, combined with four home runs and an OPS of more than 1.000.
Within the National League, the Philadelphia Phillies continue their Cinderella run.
After only winning 87 games during the regular season and a solitary 87-game win in the playoffs,
the Phillies have been to a winning start in the postseason, posting 9-2, which included
an impressive 3-1 win over the champions from the previous season,
the Atlanta Braves in the NL Division Series. The team has continued its slugging style throughout
the playoffs and has seen Kyle Schwarber mashing a home run of 488 feet in
the NLCS and Bryce Harper hitting an iconic series win during the NLCS.
