Washington Commanders could soon be being offered for sale, following the announcement of
their owners Dan as well as Tanya Snyder said they have engaged Bank of America
Securities to "consider possible deals." The team announced their surprising decision on Wednesday
to engage the services of the investment bank. When asked whether
the Snyders were thinking of selling a portion or the entire team,
the spokesperson for the team said, "We are exploring all possibilities.
It could be a full sale amid increasing pressure and ongoing investigation
Snyder has repeatedly stated that it would be impossible to sell the team or even
bring in new investors for more than 18 years after Snyder bought the minority owners.
BofA Securities has handled other deals for pro sports clubs,
such as Steve Ballmer buying the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers in 2014.
